Prime Waterfront Destinating Event

Situated on a scenic 4-hectare site along the waterfront, the proposed wellness attraction will serve as a cornerstone of the Marina South precinct. It is designed to complement iconic landmarks such as Gardens by the Bay, Founders’ Memorial in Bay East, and Marina Barrage, creating a cohesive and attractive destination for both tourists and locals

Innovative and Holistic Offerings

STB is looking for proposals that feature innovative and high-quality concepts aimed at improving physical, emotional, or mental wellness. Potential offerings might include therapeutic art installations, tech-based therapies like floatation or light frequencies, complementary health treatments, and a range of fitness activities.

A key requirement of the tender is the implementation of a robust schedule of wellness-themed events and programmes. These events should appeal to both tourists and residents, ensuring the attraction remains vibrant and engaging year-round.

Ms Carrie Kwik, Executive Director, World Expo and Special Projects at STB, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative. “With the rising demand for more restorative and wellness-related experiences, we believe Singapore is well-placed to be a leading Urban Wellness destination that prioritises holistic well-being. The tender marks a significant stride towards realising our wellness ambition as we leverage Singapore’s existing strengths in accessibility, technology and as a strong business hub,” she said.

Open for Global Participation

The tender is open to both local and international bidders, running for a period of three months and closing on 4 October 2024. This project is expected to significantly boost Singapore’s tourism sector, providing visitors with compelling reasons to extend their stay and explore more of what the city has to offer.
